Established in 2007, Bansuri Charitable Society is a non-profit, charitable organization with a specific objective of imparting education, life skills and vocational skills to under privileged children. Started by Mr. Alok B. Shriram & Mrs. Karuna Shriram, the beneficiaries range from special needs children and children who hail from weaker sections of Society and all those in need of assistance, without prejudices of gender, caste, creed or religion. The Society undertakes various initiatives to support and rehabilitate children from marginalized sections of Society and especially those with special needs, in order to help them overcome their disadvantages. Bansuri Charitable Society aims to enable and empower children by providing them with education, necessary life skills, pre- vocational and vocational skills along with therapies if required, to help them lead fulfilling and independent lives as productive members of society. The Society is registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 and the Income Tax Act, 1961, as a Charitable Society and all donations to the society qualify for deduction u/s 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961.
